Gone are the days when students and their families (or entire classes!) waltzed casually onto college campuses for carefree, in-person visits. While in-person visits haven’t been entirely wiped off the map, many students and families are finding comfort and security in the online college visit process. What’s more, virtual college visits are less cost prohibitive and can be done from the comfort of home with fairly little planning. So let’s talk about Texas college virtual tours – what options major schools are offering, and how your students can get in on the from-home fun!

Virtual Sessions at The University of Texas at Austin

Admissions information sessions and virtual tours are offered in English and Spanish each weekday and most Saturdays, with specific schools and colleges offering their own unique sessions. Here’s a look at a 360-degree campus tour on YouVisit.

Campus Visit Registration at Texas A&M University

Texas A&M is offering in-person campus visits, virtual visits, and individual video chats. You can also view this virtual campus map at your leisure! 

Visit Texas Tech University

At Texas Tech, in-person campus tours and events are canceled until September 13, 2020. However, they are offering virtual info sessions and campus tours nearly every weekday. Students can request ADA accommodations here.

Sign Up for a Tour at the University of North Texas

UNT offers unique virtual tours for freshman and transfer students, and has an on-demand campus video that can be watched in English or Spanish. Students can also sign up to be notified when in-person campus tours resume.

Visit the University of Houston

The University of Houston offers 30-minute virtual campus visits, which include a live campus tour from a UH student ambassador and a brief information session from an admissions representative. You can also request a Zoom call from a UH student ambassador!
